Obituary for Pat Bodden
Patricia (Pat) Ferlita-Bodden, our beloved Mother, Nana, Sister, Aunt, Niece and Friend, passed away quietly on August 10, 2019. Born in Tampa on March 17, 1948, she remained a lifelong vibrant member of the Tampa community. She graduated from Hillsborough High School and thereafter cosmetology school. She went on to open her own successful salon, known for the best and latest hairstyles anywhere in the Tampa community. Her entrepreneurial spirit led her next to open a unique bead shop with her sister Grace which they ran successfully together for many years. Later, she embarked on a new career at Kash n’ Karry food stores from which she eventually retired. She loved life and lived it fully. She had a vivacious personality; full of humor, no one could tell or bring an old family story to life the way she could. She lit up the room with laughter. Our world will always be a little less bright. More than anything she loved her family, her two sons, Tracey and wife, Lesley; her son, Troy and her two grandchildren, Gwen and Logan who meant the world to her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dee Bodden; her parents, Annie and Tony Ferlita; brother-in-law, Peter Albano. Survived by her son, Tracey Bodden and wife, Lesley; granddaughter, Gwen Bodden; grandson, Logan Bodden; son, Troy Bodden; sister, Grace Ferlita Albano; brother, Joseph Ferlita and wife, Florence; brother -in -law, Bobby Bodden; Sister -in –law, Kathleen Bodden- Harris; Aunt, Rose Marchese Dixon; Uncle, Joe Dixon and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Southern Funeral Care, 10510 Riverview Drive, Riverview FL 33578 at 11 am with the family receiving friends from 10 to 11 am
