We share with profound sorrow the passing of Maria Iriarte-Camargo, born on July 4, 1955, in Maracaibo, Venezuela. She joyfully celebrated life until her peaceful departure on August 10, 2025. Daughter of Maria Salome Romero Iriarte and Jose Carilao Dr Jesus Iriarte, Maria was a cherished sister amongst eight siblings.
Maria was a beacon of kindness and unconditional love. She was known for her beautiful spirit that radiated love and warmth to all who knew her. She was a pillar of strength in her family, displaying perseverance and resilience in every aspect of her life. Maria's teachings of love, hard work, and the essence of cultivating healthy relationships have been a guiding light for her family and friends.
At the age of 23, Maria married her childhood sweetheart, Ulises Camargo. She was a loving mother to four children and a doting grandmother to eleven grandchildren. Maria found great joy in her family, and was known for her abundance of love and patience. Her legacy is one of profound love, a reflection of God's Love here on Earth, which will continue to shine brightly in the lives of her descendants.
Maria had a soft spot for music and food, which was a big part of her life. Her passion and love for her roots were seen in her Venezuelan cooking, filling her family home with warmth, love, and delicious aromas.
Maria is survived by her beloved kids, Hazel Camargo, Ulises Camargo Jr. Tracy Camargo & Leonardo Camargo. Maria's life was one of love, joy, and service, and her family will continue to honor her memory by living their lives in the same spirit. She will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered.
A memorial service in honor of Maria will be held on August 15, 2025, at 3:00 PM, at Southern Funeral Care: 10510 Riverview Drive. A celebration of Maria's beautifully lived life will occur shortly afterwards at 5:30pm, at Uly home: 12765 Lemon Pepper Drive. Family and friends are asked to gather for a time of remembrance, laughter, music, and of course, food that Maria loved so much.
