Obituary for Ralph Raymond Sevelin
Ralph Raymond Sevelin resided in Thonotosassa, Florida. At 58 years old, he went to be with our Lord on February 4, 2019 at 12:15 AM, after a brief battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving, devoted wife, Cissy Boza Sevelin, his son Joshua Erik Sevelin, daughters Michelle Carbonell and Stephanie Skipper, granddaughter Riley Shae Skipper; mother Eleanor Faye Cain, brothers Duane Sevelin, Gary Brent Sevelin, Jeff Cain, sisters Lori Fenner and Patti Sevelin, and many nieces and nephews. Ralph was a loving husband, phenomenal father, glorious grandfather and extraordinary friend. He was a respected and valued TECO employee for over 36 years. His loyal service to his church and community did not go unnoticed while setting examples for others. As busy as he stayed, he was always available for his family in a moments notice. His primary concern was always the love of his life, Cissy. As everyone could see, his undying love for her never wavered. Ralph never met a stranger and was always willing to give the shirt off his back to anyone at any time. Even through life’s complexities, he was always the light shining in every room and made an imprint on everyone who was blessed to cross his path. Ralph’s philosophy of life was one which was memorable and contagious. He has taught us all that in life, life is exactly what you make it. He always made sure to let you know, “Today is the best day of my life, just like yesterday.” A memorial service celebrating the life of Ralph Raymond Sevelin will be held Friday, February 8, 2019. A 10:30AM visitation will precede an 11:00AM service at Fellowship Baptist Church located at 13515 US Hwy 301, Thonotosassa, FL 33592 813-982-1000. All are welcome to join the family for lunch immediately following the service.
Lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in honor of Ralph Sevelin to Mary Help of Christians Center’s lighting of the ball field utilized by the Cristo Rey School for underprivileged children. Cristo Rey will be offering a mass service for Ralph on February 20, 2019 at 8:15 AM at the St. Philip Residence located at 6400 E. Chelsea St., Tampa, FL 33610. 813-626-6191
