Obituary for Terry Wilson Graham
GRAHAM, Terry W., 76, peacefully passed away on August 7, 2018 following a brief battle with cancer. A native of Dayton, Ohio, Terry and his wife, Theresa, moved from Atlanta to the Tampa area in 1969 and settled in Brandon in 1972. He initially served as an evaluator for Vocational Rehabilitation before becoming a guidance counselor and eventual department head at Erwin Technical Center, and retired from Hillsborough County Public Schools in 1999. A sports enthusiast and a lifelong devoted fan of the Cincinnati Reds and University of Dayton Flyers basketball, Terry also supported all local area sports from youth to professional as a coach, volunteer, and spectator. He was notorious for keeping meticulous statistics of teams and players in notebooks. Terry was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing with a regular group of friends every week. He also loved to read and research various topics on the internet. Terry had a passion for traveling, especially when it involved camping and hiking. He was partial to the western United States and considered Yellowstone National Park his favorite place on Earth. He loved nature and animals, was a nurturing caregiver to many cats and dogs throughout their lives, and had a particular fascination with wolves. He was a faithful parishioner at Nativity Catholic Church where he served in the Food Pantry as well as a driver for the van ministry. More than anything, Terry enjoyed spending time with his family, and could always be counted upon to support each of his children and grandchildren in their endeavors. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Theresa (Sheppard) Graham; one son, Gary (Donna); two daughters, Stacey (Paul) Mulrenin, and Erin (Don) Sizemore; six grandchildren (Eion, Evan, Nolan, Macyn, Gehrig, and Rowan); and one sister, Linda (Tom) Pumphrey. He was predeceased by his parents, Woodrow and Bernice, and one grandchild, Grady. Terry’s wife and children are very grateful for the care and support he received from LifePath Hospice. In lieu of flowers, his family requests donations to Hospice or the Nativity Catholic Church Food Pantry.
