He was retired from Anheuser Busch and is survived by his wife, Shelley Gibson Prendes; sons, Emil Prendes, Jr. and Robert Prendes; daughter, Christy Stovall; step-daughters, Mary McCarthy, Anmarie McCarthy and Emily Martin; brother, Joe Prendes; 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 27, 2016, at First Church of the Nazarene, 5902 N. Himes Avenue, Tampa, FL 33614, with a reception to follow the service.
