MORRILL, Myrtis Sarah Pierce, 79, of Valrico, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, April 1, 2010. A lifetime resident of the Valrico area, she was a member of First United Methodist Church of Brandon and the Strawberry Stitchers Guild. She loved being a teacher at Yates Elementary for 25 years and she developed a small sub-division and built what became the family home. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Morrill Hand and is survived by her son, Kevin Morrill (Lynn); daughter, Delores Morrill; brothers, Thomas Pierce (Ester), Raymond Pierce (Trudy), and Cliston Pierce (Alma); 4 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Information
A celebration of her life will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 6, 2010, at the First United Methodist Church of Brandon with the family receiving friends one hour prior to services. Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery.
