It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the passing of George Reed, Jr. of Brandon, Florida. George was born in Seaside Park, New Jersey, on September 5th, 1933, and passed away on March 9th, 2023, at the age of 89.
He was preceded in death by his parents: father - George Reed Sr; mother - Anna Victoria Cyphers, wife – Joycelyn Reed, brother - Jimmy Irons; and daughter - Patricia Reed.
George is survived by his children:
Sons – Richard Reed (Beth) and Jeff Smith (Susan),
Daughters – Vicki Wright (Steve), Josie Reed- Szymanski (David), Susan Lutsko (Brian), Judy Garbee (Steve), and Brenda Smith.
He is also survived by his brother – Jack Irons; and 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church of Brandon, FL, on Saturday, 3/18. Visitation is at 10:00 AM and Service at 11:00 AM. Family and friends are welcome to gather in celebration of George’s life.
