Obituary for Shirley Florian Danzis
Danzis, Shirley Florian 77, of Brandon, Florida, passed away on Monday, October 19, 2020. Shirley was born in Middletown, Ohio in 1943 and grew up in Miami Springs, Florida. She graduated from Miami Jackson Senior High and the Sherwin Williams Business College. She and her husband Dan moved their family to Brandon, Florida in 1977, where they have resided ever since. Shirley’s passion was being a homemaker, although she did serve some early years at State Farm Insurance and Poe and Associates. She is predeceased by her parents, Norman and Marie Thomas, as well as her two sisters, Patricia and Nancy. She is survived by her husband, Daniel Danzis; and three children, Christine (Clay), Mark, and Damon. She is also survived by her three grandchildren, Alexis, Tyler and Arissa who filled her life with pride and joy. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, who valued her family more than anything. Giving her husband, children, and grandchildren the best life possible was her number one priority. She was a faithful Christian and faith enabled her to conquer each day while struggling thru battling two cancers. She was beautiful, soft spoken, caring, and kind-hearted, but also incredibly determined and strong willed. She never gave up hope near the end of her 5-year battle with cancer. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. A Memorial Visitation will be 2:30-4:00pm, with the service at 4:00pm, Saturday, October 24, 2020, at Southern Funeral Care, Riverview. Interment will be held 10:00 A.M on Monday, October 26, 2020 at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell Florida.
