Obituary for Albert Fred Gustafson
Albert Fred Gustafson, 80, of Riverview, FL, passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2020. Born June 21st 1940 to Fred and Dorothy (Jones) Gustafson of Lake Cristal, MN. He resided in Florida since 1979. He is a veteran of the US Navy and retired from American Chicle Division of Warner Lambert. He was an avid Brandon Wrestling fan, following his three wrestling sons. A member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church including the Men's Prayer Breakfast and Stephen Ministries. In retirement, his favorite activity was playing Bridge and Pinochle.
He is survived by his wife, Florence; sons, Tony (Rebecca) (Valrico, FL), Todd (Laura) (Fayetteville, NC) and Bret (Tami) (Apollo Beach, FL); brother, Dick Gustafson (Donna) (Sartell, MN); sisters, Dora Gilman (Lake Crystal, MN) and Marcia Helleksen (Pike) (Lake Crystal, MN); brothers-in-law, Lee Case (Hot Springs, AR) and Ken Thompson (Mankato, MN). 11 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Al was preceded in death by his parents, In-laws, Harold and Bernice Case; brothers-in-law, Melvin Gilman and Paul Case; sisters-in-law, Irene Thompson, Joyce Case and Carolyn Case.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 17, 2020, at St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Brandon. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be given to St Andrews United Methodist Church Food Pantry or your favorite charity.
