
Obituary for William Jonathan Davis
William J. Davis 86, went to be with his Lord and Savior on April 29, 2021. A loving husband to Margaret Ellen(Hobbs) of 60 years. Son of William Morgan Davis and Myrtle Virginia (Pinder) Davis. Bill joined the United States navy in 1956 through 1959, and an additional three years in the Navy Reserves. Receiving Honorable Discharge. Born in Chester County Pennsylvania, he lived in Spring City, Pa. with his wife and children for 20 years. Then moving to Tampa Florida and resided there for 39 years. He retired as construction engineer in the electric boat division of General Dynamics in Florida. Bill loved and was proud of his children,son, Scott E. 59, of Pennsylvania, husband to Lori B.(Bachkai)Davis, and daughter, Karen E (Davis ) McGoldrick 56, husband of Paul McGoldrick Florida. Always lovingly referred to by his grandchildren and great grandchildren as”Pops” Grandson Andrew J.,Alec S., and Aaron N. Davis, his great grand children, GenevieveE.,Colton E.,and Ryleigh C. Davis,
Granddaughters Amanda L.(Puebla)Owens, and GabriellaM.(McGoldrick)Kruger. Bill was very active in his church and with his church family at Tampa Bay Community Church and Northwest Community Church, Tampa,Fl. Bill was always playing jokes on unexpected family and friends. He could be found sitting in his driveway on the tailgate of his truck greeting his neighbors.
He would welcome new residence to the neighborhood. He loved his little buddy Picot the cat. A celebration of life service will be held May 8 at Northwest Community Church at 1 PM, all are welcome. Burial services to be held at, Florida National cemetery at Buchnell on May 12 at 10:00AM. All are welcome. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to be sent to Northwest Community Church or The Humane Society of Tampa Bay.
