William "Jack" Tucker
TUCKER, William "Jack", 68, of Valrico, beloved husband, father and friend lost a valiant battle with cancer on Sunday, September 12, 2010. He was preceded in death by his parents, Millard and Mary Tucker. Born September 19, 1941 in Daisy, GA, he grew up in Register, GA and was a member of the Statesboro High School Class of 1959. He is survived by his wife of 49 1/2 years, Jimmie Carol; his son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Olia Tucker; daughters and sons-in-law, Pamela and Ralph Doty, Katharine and Mark Bonenberger and Karrie and John McMillan; five grandchildren, Joel Gignac, Sean Gignac, Sarah Bonenberger, Rachel Bonenberger and Laura McMillan; sister, Joyce Bird, his brother by heart, Roy Gulledge and a host of nieces and nephews. He served 28 years in the US Air Force, worked as a mortgage loan officer for 13 years and was a member of Hillsborough Masonic Lodge #25, Tampa; Scottish Rite, Egypt Temple Shrine and Brandon Shrine Club.
Funeral Information
Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M. Friday, September 17, 2010, at Southern Funeral Care, 10510 Riverview Dr., Riverview, with the family receiving friends one hour prior to services. Interment with full military honors will follow at 1:00 P.M. at Sarasota National Cemetery.
