William Allen Schwartz Sr., 83, of Lithia, Florida, passed away peacefully on February 9th, 2025 surrounded by his loving family and friends.
Bill Schwartz was born on August 5th, 1941 in Harrisburg Pennsylvania. He graduated from high school in 1959 and enlisted in the Navy. He was honorably discharged in 1965.
Bill married Barbara Schaar in 1964 in Maryland. Barbara and Bill were married for 61 wonderful years. He worked as a computer systems analyst until he retired, but those that knew him remember him as a ”jack of all trades” and an amazing handyman that could do almost anything. He also loved to fish and snow ski. Bill was a member of Saint Stephens Catholic Church in Riverview Florida.
Bill is survived by his wife Barbara Schwartz, his sister Carol Carion (Bill), sister in law Cindy Martin (Jim), brother in law Bill Schaar, son Allen Schwartz (Krissy), daughter Tracy Smith (Todd), grandchildren Cody Schwartz (Shauna), Kendall Smith and Griffin Smith, great grandson Carter Schwartz and many wonderful, close friends, nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will he held on Sunday, March 23 from 2pm - 5pm at Twisted Oaks Venue located at 105 Cagle Road, Brandon, Florida 33511. In lieu of flowers, please direct donations to Alzheimer’s Association.
