William "Alan" Jones
JONES, William "Alan" 69, of Gibsonton, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 16, 2010. Alan was a lifetime resident of the Tampa area and a member of the First Baptist Church of Gibsonton. He enjoyed Body Building and competed in several competitions in his younger years. Alan graduated from Plant High School class of 59'. He worked for Delta Airlines for 33 years, retiring in 2005. He will be dearly missed but never forgotten. Survivors include his loving wife of 46 years, Rosie; son, Rodney of Lutz; daughters, Sharon Newhart (Robert) of Sun City Center, FL, and Candy Lockyear (Thomas) of Key West, FL; grandchildren, Christy ( Scott), and Stacey; great-grandchild, Elizabeth. A visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, November 19, 2010 at Southern Funeral Care in Riverview. Funeral services will be conducted 2:30 p.m. Saturday, November 20, 2010 at the First Baptist of Gibsonton with the interment to follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Tampa. In lieu of flowers those who wish may send donations to the First Baptist Church of Gibsonton, Sound System Fund.

A visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, November 19, 2010 at Southern Funeral Care in Riverview. Funeral services will be conducted 2:30 p.m. Saturday, November 20, 2010 at the First Baptist of Gibsonton with the interment to follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Tampa.
