Obituary for Walter Lee Murrell
Murrell Walter Lee, 83, passed away on January 30, 2020 at Life Path Hospice surrounded by his family. He was born in Tampa Florida to Walter Leonidas Murrell and Mattie Mozelle (Nichols) Murrell on October 6, 1936. Walt was an honorable US Army Paratrooper, serving in Korea, attaining the rank of Master Sgt. Walt was active in the automobile business for more than 45 years in sales and management. He was an avid motorcyclist, boater, water skier and fisherman. Walt was a 32nd Degree Mason from Desoto Lodge 105, Riverview and member of The Scottish Rite and Egypt Shriners, Tampa. He was a member of the American Legion Post 0148 and life member of the VFW Post 8108, Riverview. He is survived by daughters, Julie Rae Murrell and Melinda Lee Murrell, granddaughter Bethany Lee Murrell, great-grandson Isaac. Masonic Services will be held 4:00 P.M. Saturday, February 15, 2020, at Southern Funeral Care, Riverview, with the family receiving friends one hour prior to services.In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital and Life Path Hospice, Sun City, FL.
