Walter Hunziker, 77, of Lithia, Florida, passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, love and a deep appreciation for the great outdoors. He was a devoted husband, father and friend.
Walter is survived by his dedicated wife of 55 years Sue Hunziker and their daughter April Hunziker.
Walter had a deep appreciation for the simple life.
He always had a kiss for the big mouth bass he caught and loving placed it back where came from. He was so proud of his fishing club.
He was born in Lowyville, N.Y. to his parents John and Doris Hunziker. He is also survived by his sister, Sandra Plumb and twin brother William Hunziker.
Walter served in the US Marine Corps, fighting in the Vietnam War from 1967-1968.
Earning his B.S. Degree lead to work in the steel industry for 54 years.
He will be greatly missed!
