Wallace P. "Mike" Mickler, Sr.
MICKLER, Sr., Wallace P. "Mike", passed away at home on Saturday, September 28, 2013. He is not dead. He truly is with his Creator and merely passed from this life to a more real and lasting life above with his Lord and Savior. Born January 14, 1928 in Lacoochee, FL, into an east Pasco County Pioneering family, he graduated from Pasco High School, was a World War II and Korean War U.S. Air Force veteran, was a Florida Highway Patrolman, a supervisor at Continental Can Co., retired as owner of Century 21 Mickler Realty and was a deacon and charter member of Bell Shoals Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, J. Phillip and Hazel Mickler and brother, Howell Mickler and is survived by his wife of 60 years, Valree McLean Mickler, Valrico; loving son, Paul Mickler, Jr., Largo; sister, Carolyn Thompson, Dade City; nephews, Tracy Thompson and Clay Mickler, both of Dade City; sister-in-law, Hazel Henderson, Brandon, as well as many other special family members and friends.
Funeral Information
A Celebration of Life service will be held 6:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 1, 2013, in the chapel at Bell Shoals Baptist Church with the family receiving friends one hour prior to services.
