KENNA, Virginia R., 98 of Brandon passed away August 30, 2007 with her family by her side. Born in St. Louis, Mo., she attended Columbia College. Raising her family in Chicago, Il., she was the past president of United Methodist Women, Ravenswood Methodist Church. A resident of Florida for the past 25 years, she was a member of the D.A.R. of the Lakeland Chapter. Preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Harold F. Kenna, and her brother Dr. Roy S. Rauschkolb. A loving and caring mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she is survived by her daughters Kay McMaster and husband George of Brandon, Fl.; Sally Salamon and husband Jay of Las Vegas, Nv.; and son, Hal Kenna of Baja, Ca.; brother Rev.James Rauschkolb and wife Myrtis of Az. Much loved grandma of Kimberly Lee and husband Eugene Jr. and Shari Beaver and husband David of Valrico, Fl., and Jill Bennett and husband Kemble of College Station, Tx; Kristin of Victorville, Ca., and Nicole Fall of Mission Viejo,Ca.; and Diane and husband Gerry of Middleton, WI.; and 8 great-grandchildren. "God looked around His garden and found an empty place. He then looked down upon the earth and saw your tired face. He put his arms around you and lifted you up to rest." The family wishes to express their thanks to the caring staffs of Superior Residences of Brandon and Brandon Hospital. Family services will be private.
