RAWLS, Virginia J., 93, of Tampa, passed peacefully on Sunday morning, October 12, 2008, into the loving arms of her Lord. Born in Gainesville, GA, she moved to Tampa as a child and later met the love of her life, Harry Hampton Rawls, while attending Hillsborough High School. She loved her family and truly appreciated her longtime close friends. Virginia was preceded in death by her loving husband in 1981 and is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Harry H., Jr. and Patricia Rawls, Brandon; daughter and son-in-law, Sheryl and Chester Fleming, Tampa; sister, Doris Esser, AL; brother, Daniel Jones, CA; 5 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. The family would like to express their deepest appreciation for the dedicated loving care given by the staff of Caregivers Touch, Inc. of Tampa. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Friday, October 17, 2008, at Southern Funeral Care, 10510 Riverview Dr., Riverview, with the family receiving friends one hour prior to services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mid Florida Chapter, National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 2701 Maitland Ctr. Pkwy., Ste. 100, Orlando, FL 32751.
