Tiny Jean Nessmith, 89, of Valrico, FL, passed away on Friday, March 10, 2023. A native of Savannah, GA, she had resided here since 1963 coming from Jacksonville, FL. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Brandon, a member of Southside Baptist Church and Flat Creek Baptist Church, Lakemont, GA. She had been on the Woman's Auxiliary at Brandon Little League and loved to quilt. Tiny was a devoted wife to George for 68 years and her children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren were her greatest joy. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Lee and Annie Laura Edenfield; brothers, David Julian Edenfield and Lester Barwick Edenfield and sister, Willie Lee Tully and is survived by her husband, George B. Nessmith, Jr.; sons, George B. Nessmith, III, Scott Lester Nessmith and John Sovereign Nessmith; daughter, Cynthia Lee Scull; sisters, Ann Overstreet and Annette Johnson; 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at Southern Funeral Care, Riverview, with the family receiving friends one hour prior to services. Interment will be at Flat Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Lakemont, GA. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Flat Creek Baptist Church, 1433 Low Gap Rd., Lakemont, GA 30552.
