WARD, Sr., Thomas W., 63, of Lithia, passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2007, at home, after a long illness, with his loving family at his side. A native of Scioto Co., OH, he resided in the Tampa area since 1962. He was a US Navy Submariner, serving on the Woodrow Wilson as a CPO on the Blue Team, retired from Cargill in 1995, after 26 years, due to his health and was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church, Lithia. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Hazel Edwards Ward and is survived by his wife, Phyllis; sons, Thome (Erinn) Ward, Tampa, C. David Ward, Pinecrest and Matthew Ward, Valrico; grandchildren, Dunkan and Alexis Ward, Tampa and Rachel and Yance Ward, Pinecrest; brother, Randall (Suzanne) Ward, Albuquerque, NM; nephew, Randy (Cindi) Ward, Ogden, UT and niece, Renee (Robert) Bozo, Utah. Memorial services will be held at a later date in Ohio. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
