Obituary for Steven Lee Pennot
Steven Lee Pennot
Pennot, Steven Lee, "Steve," 52, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2012 with his loving wife of 28 years at his side. Steve embraced life fully, pursuing his passions and sharing his generosity, love, and sense of humor with those fortunate enough to know him. The stories shared during his final days in the hospital, and upon hearing of his passing, have been as filled with as much laughter as tears, as dozens of people came together to share their stories of a great man with a huge heart and a larger-than-life personality. Steve's passions included the Florida Gators, music, cooking and collecting unique watches. Preceded in death by his father, Harry. Steve is survived by wife, Linda; mother, Dorothy; mother-in-law, Barbara; sister, Karen; sisters-in-law, Wendy, Tracey, and Terri; brothers-in-law, John and Jim; nephews, Donald, Dalton, David, Daniel and Gregory; niece, Tara; Uncle, Bob; Aunt, Dottie; and cousins, Susan and Lisa. Steve also had an incredible extended family of neighbors and friends, in particular his honorary niece, Kathleen, and nephew, Chris, who loved him and were loved by him. Steve was also survived, and will be missed, by the many cats he rescued and loved over the years. Steve was an accomplished trumpet player and will be honored with music and song during a memorial service and reception at St Matthew's Anglican Church, 10701Bloomingdale Ave. in Riverview on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes for donations to me made to the National Association of Music Merchandisers, the Humane Society, or ASPCA.
