Louis Edward Smith II (Smitty) (84) has passed away on 02/21/2025 @ 545 am. He passed away at Advent Health hospital in Riverview, Florida. He suffered from long term COPD and pneumonia. Louis was a resident of Tampa, Florida since the early 1980s. Born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Louis Edward Smith I ( deceased) and Vera Lucille Hansford (deceased) on October 27th 1940. Widowed in May 2014 married to Mary Ellen Magoon-Smith ( deceased). Survived by 2 brothers, John Middleton and Barry Chase. Survived by his 2 biological children, Vera Penninton and James Smith and his 4 step children, Loney Wheeler, Lance Smith, Angela Remer-Cooper and John Remer Jr. Also, Survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great- great-grandchildren. Louis was a Merchant Marine of Snug Salior Harbor. He was loved very much by his family and community. He was our "Papa". There will be no services at this time.
