MINGES, Sisley Dorine, 86, of Tampa, passed away Monday, March 8, 2010.
Sisley (Bodden) was born December 11, 1923, on the island of Roatan, which was known as British Honduras at the time. She grew up with the Scottish/Irish pioneers that developed the fishing and commercial industry of the Bay Islands. Sisley lived in several other parts of the world (Texas, Arkansas, Portugal) before finally settling in the Tampa area. She loved to dance and watch her favorite programs. Sisley kept very close ties with her children and many grandchildren which she adored. Preceding her in death was a grandson Timothy Tatum and a granddaughter Kimberly Blackmon. She is survived by her husband Ray Minges; children, Harry Tatum, Linda (John) Brackett, Charles Craft, Sandi (Paul) Letourneau and Billie (Steven) Winiecke, 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Funeral Information
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 13, 2010, at Southern Funeral Care, 10510 Riverview Drive, Riverview. There will be no visiation. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park, Tampa, FL.
