Shirley May George, of Riverview, Florida, mother of Charles Edward Harrison Jr., Michael Dennis Harrison, David Wayne Harrison, Richard Bruce Harrison, Deborah Kay Mason, James Fredrick Harrison, Donald A Harrison and Ronald B Harrison, passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2024. She was preceded in death, by the love of her life, Nicholas Joseph George Sr.
She was a past member of the Brandon Newcomers and a member of the St Stephens Catholic Church. She and her late husband enjoyed RVing and card games with their friends and she enjoyed watching Hallmark movies, reading books and playing solitaire on her tablet.
She gave each month to Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital. She was a long time employee, and retiree, of the accounting firm Rex Meighan and Company.
Born in Baltimore Maryland in January 1936. Married in January 1952, and started a family of eight children from 1952 through 1962.In addition to her eight children, she has 12 grandchildren and scores of great and great great grandchildren.
Though she suffered from arthritic back and knee issues, later in life, that affected her mobility, her death was sudden.
In her 88+ years of life, she touched many lives and hopefully left a lasting impression. Her life is not determined by her love of others, but by others' love for her.
She is looking down on her family and friends, smiling, pain free and holding hand with her love of her life.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00 A.M. Thursday, November 7, 2024, at Resurrection Catholic Church, Riverview, with the family receiving friends from 9:30 until Mass time. Interment will follow, at 12:30 P.M., at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
