In Loving Memory of Sheila Golden Searcy - November 7, 1939 - July 20, 2023
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Sheila Golden Searcy, a devoted
mother, sister, grandmother, and faithful servant of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Sheila
unexpectedly stepped into Heaven on July 20, 2023, in Brandon, Florida, leaving behind a world
that loved her deeply. She was born on November 7, 1939, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to Robert
and Geraldine Golden, both of whom preceded her in death.
Throughout her life, Sheila's unwavering faith in Jesus was the cornerstone of her existence. Her
heart belonged to the Lord, and she lived her life in His service, finding solace in her belief that
Jesus was her Lord and Savior. Though her departure was sudden and unexpected, we take
comfort in knowing that she is now in the loving embrace of her Heavenly Father, free from pain
and suffering.
Sheila's love for her family and friends knew no bounds, and her passing leaves a void that can
never be filled. She leaves behind a treasured legacy of love and devotion, etched forever in the
hearts of those who were fortunate to know her. Sheila is survived by her sister, Judith Fisher of
Danville, AR, and her son, Rob Searcy, along with his wife, Julia Searcy, and their two daughters,
Ava and Audrey, all residing in Brandon, FL.
As a woman of faith, Sheila's heart was steadfastly devoted to the Lord, and her dedication was
evident through her 37 plus years of service at Bell Shoals Baptist Church both on staff and as a
member. There, she quietly served the congregation, making a profound impact behind the
scenes. Sheila exemplified true discipleship, radiating the love of Jesus in her actions and words.
Sheila's unwavering faith in the power of prayer was a guiding force throughout her life. She
was a source of strength and inspiration to those who sought her counsel, always ready to offer
a helping hand and a listening ear to anyone in need.
Above all, Sheila's heart overflowed with love for her family, and she found immense joy in the
presence of her two granddaughters, Ava and Audrey. Their laughter and innocence brought a
light to her life that nothing else could match. Sheila's unconditional love and support for her
family knew no bounds, and her selflessness was a testament to the depth of her character.
As we grieve the loss of Sheila, we also celebrate the extraordinary legacy of faith and love she
leaves behind. Her sudden departure serves as a poignant reminder of life's fragility and the
importance of cherishing every moment with our loved ones. Though the pain of her absence is
immense, we find comfort in the knowledge that she is now reunited with her Heavenly Father,
where there is no more sorrow or suffering.
A memorial service to honor and remember Sheila's life will be held at 1pm, August 1, 2023 at
Bell Shoals Church, 2102 Bell Shoals Rd., Brandon, FL. 33511, The family will be visiting with
friends starting at 12:30pm and a reception will follow after the service.
May she rest in eternal peace, reunited with her Lord and Savior, and may her family find
comfort in knowing that she is watching over them from her heavenly home.
