Sharon Shirley Sellers passed away peacefully in her home on October 3rd, 2023 at the age of 74. Sharon was born in Southey, Saskatchewan, Canada to Harold and Erna Galenzoski where she spent her childhood. She attended college in Regina, Saskatchewan where, upon graduation she joined the Canadian Forces. After serving for 4 years as a Logistics Officer, Sharon met John Sellers, a US Air Force Officer on exchange in Canada. They shared a wonderful life together for over 45 years, settling in Tampa with John’s last duty station at MacDill AFB.
Sharon enjoyed making the rounds with John around North America visiting family and friends, although packing was always a challenge. Devotion to the success of the Tampa Bay Lightning kept Sharon busy and enriched during the cooler months. If anyone from the club is reading, you might consider retiring Sharon’s jersey. Between hockey games Sharon was known to look forward to a glass of red wine and memories shared over a meal spent with loved ones.
Sharon is survived by loving Husband John, one son, Jason, Daughter-in-Law Stacey and their 7 month old son Henry John, the light of her life. She also has many relations and friends throughout the US and Canada. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to your choice of the charitable organizations below:
