Samuel "Sam" M. Barry, a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2024.
Sam was born in Nashville, TN, on January 13, 1938, to parents, Haywood and Juanita Barry. He grew up in the town of Lebanon, TN. At the age of 18, Sam enlisted in the United States Air Force. He valued this service highly and attained the rank of Master Sergeant.
Sam was preceded in death by his wife, Mary "Jackie" Barry; his parents; his brothers, John Lee, Leslie Wynne, Dickie Barry and Charlie Barry and his sister, Mary Kaesser.
He is survived by his daughter, Tina Barry Ray (Troy); his grandsons, Derek and Kevin Ray; his great-grandson, Lyndin Ray; his brothers, Haywood Barry and James Barry and his sister, Maude Kilway.
His loved ones will remember him for his great sense of humor and the love of a good cold beer. Cheers Sam!
A funeral mass for Sam will be held on Friday, November 15, 2024, at Nativity Catholic Church at 10:30 am. Interment will follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Seffner.
