FOWLER, Samuel R., 88, of Riverview, passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2013. He proudly served in the US Navy, and while in the Navy he fought in World War II and the Korean War, after more than 30 years of service he retired in 1980. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Margaret Fowler; sons, Samuel (Paula) Fowler, Steven (Tangie) Fowler, Rodger (Susan) Fowler, and David Fowler; daughters, Diana (James) Pollard, Shirley (Robin) Greathouse; and Gail (Pete) Lawrence; 19 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild; and many extended family members.
Funeral Information
A celebration of Samuel's life will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at 7 p.m. at Southern Funeral Care with the family receiving friends one hour prior to the service.
