Ryan Long passed away on Nov. 24, 2025, at the age of 38 from a sudden tragic battle with sepsis.
Ryan leaves behind wife Katelynn (Koster) Long, daughter, Emily Justine Long, 6, son, Owen Michael Long, 4, sister, Justine Sarah (Long) Engelhardt (Matt), parents Richard and Joni Long, along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins all of whom loved him.
Ryan was born and raised in Naples, Florida where he loved family, friends, and sports. He loved soccer and competed at the highest level of youth soccer. One of his life’s highlights was a trip to Scotland as a teenager with a friend where they took a train and visited Wembley Stadium.
Ryan earned a bachelor's degree at USF in Environmental Science, and he worked for Pasco County Government in the Parks, Recreation, and Natural Resources Division as a Land Management Coordinator, where he applied his love for plants, wildlife, and the environment.
Ryan was a great dad and devoted husband who loved and cherished his family. He will be missed dearly by all those that knew and loved him.
Celebration of Life Service will be held at Southern Funeral Care, 10510 Riverview Drive, Riverview, FL 33578 on Saturday, December 13th, 2025, at 12:00 pm, with a visitation from 11:00 - 12:00pm.
