Obituary for Rolf Dieter Bestler
Rolf Dieter Bestler passed away unexpectedly on April 12, 2022 just short of his 78th birthday. He was born in Saarbruecken, Germany and immigrated to the United States in 1966. Rolf proudly served in the United States Army for 23 plus years as a Senior Clinical Dietician. His most memorable tours took him overseas to Italy and Germany while he also served in numerous Stateside locations.
Rolf was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Victoria Bestler; daughter, Deborah Kim Bestler (Luca); grandsons Andrea and Filippo; Stepchildren Michael, Joanne, Kathy, Lisa; sisters Ursula Bestler (Wayne Nelson) and Jutta Graham; and many nieces and nephews. Rolf loved his fur babies and included them as part of his family.
Rolf was an avid reader and travel enthusiast. He loved exploring new areas and learning about its history. He was a kind-hearted man and deeply loved by his family and friends.
Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday, April 19 at 1:30 P.M. at Resurrection Catholic Church, 6819 Krycul Ave, Riverview, FL 33578. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Resurrection Catholic Church.
