PEMBERTON, Robert (1SGT, US Army-Retired), 53, of Brandon, passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2009. A native of Washington, PA, he was raised in Cleveland, OH and moved to Brandon in 1994, coming from North Carolina. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Brandon and Past President of the choir. He was also a member of the National Assoc. of Realtors; the Sergeant Audie Murphy Club; The Sergeant Morales Club and a SAPPER Leadership Course and Plant City Leadership Graduate. He is survived by his wife, Joyce; son and daughter-in-law, Samuel and Amanda Pemberton, Clarksville, TN; daughter, Stephanie Pemberton, Tampa, FL; mother, Nora Pemberton, Sun City Center, FL; sisters and brothers-in-law, Erma Jean and Ross Shannon, Ashtabula, OH and Jill and Larry Day, Houston, TX and three granddaughters, Peyton, Kennedy and Mia.
Funeral Information
A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted 3:00 P.M. Sunday, November 1, 2009, at the First Baptist Church of Brandon, with the family receiving friends from 1:30 P.M. until service time. Interment, with full military honors, will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, November 2, 2009, at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
