CHILDERS, Robert Hunter
CHILDERS, Robert H., 71, born in Ashland, KY and a resident of Tampa since 1960, passed away February 1, 2008. Soon after moving to the Tampa area, Bob settled in Temple Terrace and joined the Temple Terrace Police Department. He worked his way up from patrolman to Chief of Police, before moving on to positions as Vice President of Safety and Security for Wes-Flo Trucking and Director of Security for St. Joseph's Hospital. Bob also held security positions for both, Tampa General Hospital and Hillsborough Community College, Ybor Campus. He is survived by his wife, Anne Keller Childers; son, David Keller of Tampa; daughter, Aimee (Bill) Riedel of Venice, FL; mother-in-law, Sadie Gamble of Tampa; brothers-in-law, James Gamble and family of Dade City, Robert Gamble and family of Venice and Kristopher Gamble and family of Centre, AL. Bob will be greatly missed by his large extended family. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 12, 2008, at Temple Terrace United Methodist Church, 5030 E. Busch Blvd., Temple Terrace. The family will receive friends, immediately following the services, in the Fellowship Hall. The family wishes to acknowledge the extraordinary care and service provided by the LifePath Hospice staff at The Melech House in Temple Terrace and The 'Little House" in Sun City Center. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to LifePath Hospice, 12973 Telecom Parkway, Suite 100, Temple Terrace, FL 33637.

A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 12, 2008, at Temple Terrace United Methodist Church, 5030 E. Busch Blvd., Temple Terrace. The family will receive friends, immediately following the services, in the Fellowship Hall.
