DAVIES, Robert Edward, 60, of Gibsonton, passed away on Friday, November 25, 2011. A native of North Wales, England, he grew up in the amusement industry throughout England and Germany and worked at the 1982 World's Fair in Knoxville, TN. He returned to England and had a successful clothing business selling to the town markets around the United Kingdom. He came back to the United States and joined North American Midway Entertainment for the last 8 years as a Ride Supervisor. He was passionate about playing golf and enjoyed traveling. He always had a smile on his face and was fun-loving, down to earth and the life of the party but, more importantly, he was a good friend. He is survived by his daughter, Samantha Jayne Davies; father, Ernest Davies; brother, Steven Davies; sister, Maria Williams and 4 grandchildren, Aidan Robert, Samuel, James and Eleanor.
Funeral Information
A Celebration of his life will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, December 3, 2011, at Southern Funeral Care, 10510 Riverview Drive, Riverview, with a reception to follow.
