Obituary for Robert Andrew Feury
Robert “Bob” Feury, 79, passed away at home on October 15, 2021. He was preceded by this parents, Lee and Leona Feury and sister Bonnie. He is survived by his loving wife Marie, daughter Melissa (Rodney) Brown, son Todd (Dawn) Feury, grandson Aaron, granddaughter Brittnee, step-grandchildren Ryan, Roshae, Kereel and Ariana, sister Karen (Elmer) Oberski, nieces and extended family and friends.
Robert was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and to many, he was known as “Uncle Bob”. He was a sense of peace for his family and for the many families he served in the 48 years as a funeral director. He bravely served in the Vietnam war and was awarded the Bronze Star and the Army Commendation medal for this courage and loyalty. We will miss his humor and his comforting smile.
Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at Southern Funeral Care, Riverview, with the family receiving friends one hour prior to services. Internment will be at a later date in Sarasota National Cemetery.
Pall bears are Todd Feury, Rodney Brown, Aaron Rosario and Ryan Rainville.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Liberty Manor for Veterans or a charity of your choice.
The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the doctors and staff at James A. Haley Veterans’ Hospital for their outstanding care of our veteran.
