Obituary for Rita Hicks Hobbs
Rita Hicks Hobbs, 78, of Valrico, FL, passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2022. A native of Caretta, WV, she had resided here 55 years coming from south Florida, was a Hillsborough County Public School Bus Aide and a Methodist. She is survived by her husband, George; son, Trent (Julie) Hobbs; daughter, Stacey (Kyle) Franzen; step-son, Wade (Barb) Hobbs; brother, Dennis (Karen) Hicks; sister, Linda Haas; 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 4:00 P.M. Thursday, February 10, 2022, at Southern Funeral Care, Riverview, with the family receiving friends one hour prior to services. Interment will be at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Cancer Society.
