Raymond Wood "Buddy" Payne, Jr., 84, of Valrico, FL, passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, surrounded by his loving family and friends. A native of Roanoke, VA, he had resided here most of his lifetime. He was a member, and former staff pastor, at Bell Shoals Baptist Church, Brandon. He was very involved in the Hope Ministries, Hospital Ministries and Food Pantry at Bell Shoals and was a member of the Antique Fan Club. His greatest joy was giving comfort through his hospital ministries. He is survived by his wife, Judy; daughters, Angela Marie Payne and Susan Hope Payne; sisters, Joyce Mildred Condary and Evelyn May Hylton and one grandchild, Savannah. A Celebration of his life will be held 5:00 P.M. Monday, April 15, 2024, in the main sanctuary of Bell Shoals Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 3:30 P.M. until service time. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Hope Ministries at Bell Shoals Baptist Church.
