MARSICANO, Ralph Eli, left this world peacefully on Sunday, August 7, 2016, in the arms of his family. A native of Tampa, born and raised in the original family home in Tampa Heights on June 18, 1922. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sarah and Rocco Marsicano; beloved son, Steve Marsicano; 3 sisters, Marie (Bill) Hunsinger, Antoinette (Bill) Corry and Evelyn (Larry) Baker and 2 brothers, Rocco (Ruth) Marsicano and his twin brother, Charles (Jean) Marsicano. He is survived by his bride of 71 years, Lois W. Marsicano, who was the light of his life from the moment the met to the very end; 2 daughters, Michele (Jim) McIntosh, Ellijay, GA and Laurie (Hugh) Jones, Tampa; 5 grandchildren, Jimmy McIntosh, Krissie (Smitty) Dotson, Hollie (Mark) Cooper, all of Ellijay, GA, Dena Jones and Cory (Kyle) Jones, both of Tampa; 6 great-grandchildren and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Ralph was a member of the Catholic Church, a graduate of Jesuit High School (1941) and a 3 year US Coast Guard veteran during WW II. He served under 5 Governors as Secretary and President of the Florida State Board of Funeral Directors and Embalmers. Ralph, and his brother Charles, were the owners of Marsicano Funeral Home on Henderson Blvd, Tampa. He was a member and past President of the Greater Tampa Showmen's Association, a former member and past President of the Palma Ceia Lions Club, a lifetime 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council 667 and associated with a number of other organizations. Ralph was a devoted, loving husband, a cherished father and a true friend. He was fair, just and humble and he always stood by his word. He was a man of integrity who loved his family with all his heart. He will be missed but never forgotten. We Love you.

Funeral Information

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00 A.M. Thursday, August 11, 2016, in the chapel of Christ the King Catholic Church, 821 S. Dale Mabry Hwy., Tampa, with the family receiving friends one hour prior to the Mass in the chapel. Interment will follow at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park, Tampa.
