Carrasquillo, Rafael E., 82, of Brandon, passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2011. Survivors include his wife Doris; sons, Ralph Carrasquillo, and Rodney (Connie) Carrasquillo; daughter, Cindy (Richard) Eddy; sister, Anna Moore; grandchildren, Chelsea, Haley, Sophia, Nina, and Delaney. Rafael is a native of Puerto Rico and lived in the Brandon area for the past 18 years coming from New York. He proudly served his country for over 30 years in the Navy, and the Air Force. A gathering of friends will take place Tuesday, December 27, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Southern Funeral Care. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at Resurrection Catholic Church, Riverview. Entombment will follow at Hillsboro Memorial Gardens, Brandon. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Dementia Resource Center, ADRCcares.org.
