Quanita Yvette Summers, 34 years old of Riverview, FL; formally of Severn, MD, joined the ancestors on Monday, 13th November 2023, at St Joseph’s Hospital South with her family lovingly surrounding her.
Quanita graduated Old Mill High School in Millersville, MD. She pursued a degree in Psychology at Flagler College in St. Augustine, FL and Morgan State University in Baltimore, MD. After college she relocated to Tampa, FL and began her career with USAA Insurance. She worked there as an Injury Adjuster until 2019 when she left to work with a private firm. She’s very creative and skilled with cooking, designing, decorating and planning events.
Beloved daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Quanita will always be in our thoughts and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. Survived by parents, Carole and Quinton Summers of Boiling Springs, SC; brother, Jeffrey Cobb, Jr. of San Antonio, TX; sisters, Quante Dulin (David) of Riverview, FL, Quantrena Summers of Riverview, FL and Emily Holt of Washington D.C. She is also survived by 2 nieces, Laela Dulin and Jazmin Smith; 4 nephews, Noah Dulin, Jamarion Cobb, Vincent Cobb and Vaughn Cobb. Aunts, Romunda Babb (Terry), Aunglette Bush, Eilnora Gee, Tonya Walker (Howard); Uncles, Ricardo Summers(Lisa) and Kevin Summers; Great Aunts, Mildred Rawlins, Debbie Jones, Marriane Parker, Bessie Coleman, Ebonye Davis (Dan), Dorothy Boggs, Oray Taylor, Brenda Corridon-Bailey, Rose Mary White-Miller (Butch), Rose Anna Beddingfield, Mildred White and Lovoria Williams (Eldridge); Great Uncles, Bernis White (Kathy), Moses White and Nathaniel Jones (Ernestine); innumerable cousins and close friends.
Quanita was preceded in death by her grandparents, Emma Lee Harrell, Demos Summers and Viola Mae Summers; her uncle, Lee Gee; great grandparents, Rose White, James Jones, Viola Jones; 1st cousin, Nathaniel Walker and great Aunt, Elanor Shipp.
Quanita chose cremation after donating her organs and tissue to Life Link for transplant and research. The Celebration of her life will take place on Monday, 20th November 2023, at Southern Funeral Care Funeral and Cremation Services, 10510 Riverview Drive, Riverview, FL, at 12:00 PM with repast to follow at Triple Creek Hammock Amenity Center, 13013 Boggy Creek Dr, Riverview, FL.
