Obituary for Paul William Senory
Paul W. Senory of Lithia Florida, age 84, departed this life peacefully on July 13, 2022, in Sun City, Fl., with his high school sweetheart, and wife of 60 years, Fran, holding his hand.
Paul was born on January 2, 1938 in New Bedford, Massachusetts. He met the love of his life, Fran, while attending Wayland High School in Wayland Mass. They were married June 9, 1962 and lived in Tallahassee, Washington D.C. and South Tampa before moving to Brandon in 1972.
Paul attended Boston College but left after two years to join the Air Force. He served in Homestead, Fl. and Osan, Korea. In 1966, he completed his studies at Florida State University where he earned a degree in Marketing. In 1971, he joined telecom equipment manufacturer, Plantronics as a regional Sales Manager, Paul traveled this wonderful country of ours for 15 years, and rose to the position of Director of Sales – North America.
In 1989, Paul and Fran founded Sencommunications, a reseller of telecommunications equipment. They worked out of their house for two years before deciding to rent office space in Brandon, Fl. The company grew to the point that a 25,000 sq. ft. facility was built in East Tampa to accommodate the growing company of 65 employees.
Paul and Fran retired in December 2019. Sencomm remains family owned and operated.
Paul was very involved with the Brandon community, and was the proud recipient of numerous civic awards. He served the community in many different capacities, including South Brandon Little League Coach and Umpire; Usher at Nativity Catholic Church for 25 years; two term Member of the Brandon Chamber of Commerce, Board of Directors ; Member and Chair of the Military Affairs Council at the Brandon Chamber; Member of the Bank of Tampa, Brandon Branch, Board of Advisors; Member and Chair of the Board of the Brandon Regional Hospital; Founding Board Member of the Brandon Foundation; Member of the Board of Directors for the New Jersey School of Nursing; and President of The Gulf Shores Condominium Association. In addition, Paul was involved with MacDill AFB as an honorary squadron commander. He also was a member of the Base Commanders Civilian Support Council, and attended the Air Force War College National Security Forum at Maxwell AFB.
Paul and Fran enjoyed cruising and were fortunate to visit 55 cities in 35 countries. Paul is survived by his loving wife Frances, his daughter Stacie Miller (Bill), his son Bryan Senory (Sasitorn), and 3 much loved grandchildren, Megan, Weston and Connor, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Yvonne, and his brother, Bob.
Paul asks his friends and family not to mourn him, because, as he often said, he had a wonderful life, and thanked God every day for his blessings.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to LifePath Hospice in Paul’s memory.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am, Thursday, July 21, 2022 at St. Stephens Catholic Church, 10118 Saint Stephen Circle, Riverview, Fl. A private interment at Sarasota Military Cemetery will follow.
