Paul Walter Mitchell, Jr., 89, of Thonotosassa, FL, passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at the VA Hospital. He was the husband of the late Joanne (Zeitler) Mitchell.
Born in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of the late Paul & Matilda (Gale) Mitchell.
He was a proud U.S. Army Veteran serving in Korea and will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
He was a Shriner, 32nd Degree Mason and Past Exhaulted Ruler of BPOE. A member of the Moose Lodge, an upstanding citizen of the community and a proud supporter of the HCSO.
He was preceded in death by a son, Bill Baranick and daughter Lyn Mitchell Little.
He is survived by a daughter, Julie (Steve) Minotakis; son, Keith Mitchell; Kathy Daniels and grandchildren, Brittany, Randi, Elliot, Matthew, Stephanie and Kristina.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Shriner's Hospitals for Children.
