Patti was born on July 29, 1939, in Markdale, Ontario, Canada, to the late Ravena and Bev Johnston. She later made her home in Florida, where she built a life centered on family, friendship, and the community she cherished. Throughout her life, she was known for her vibrant spirit, warm heart, and unwavering devotion to the people she loved most.
She leaves behind a family who was the center of her world: her beloved partner, Joe Antala; her sons, Steven Gonzalez, Sr. and Wayne Gonzalez; her daughter, April Stevens, and son-in-law, Hunter Stevens; her bonus children, Rick Antala, Stephanie Antala, and Jojo Conley; her grandchildren, Steven Gonzalez Jr. and his wife, Cassidy Gonzalez, Jessica Gonzalez, Ashley Carr, Hannah Gonzalez, Avery Stevens, Alicia Antala, Logan Antala, Dylan Antala, and Megan Antala; and her cherished great-grandchildren, Mikinlee Blocker, Wyatt, Gavin Gonzalez, and Maverick Hogan.
Patti was a proud sports fan who never missed an opportunity to cheer on her favorite Tampa Bay teams. Whether it was the Rays, Lightning, or Buccaneers, she celebrated every game with enthusiasm and loyalty. She was also a true fashionista who took pride in always looking her best. From her perfectly styled hair and manicured nails to her carefully chosen outfits, Patti carried herself with confidence, grace, and style.
She enjoyed spending time with friends at the Eagles Club, where laughter, stories, and lasting friendships filled many happy days. Yet above all else, Patti’s greatest joy was her family. Nothing meant more to her than gathering with the people she loved, especially on football Sundays. Those treasured afternoons, filled with food, laughter, conversation, and cheering on the Buccaneers together, became some of her most cherished memories and lasting traditions.
Patti’s legacy is one of love, family, friendship, and joy. She touched the lives of many through her kindness, her strength, and her ability to make every gathering feel special. Though her presence will be deeply missed, the memories she created and the love she shared will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Her family finds comfort in knowing that her spirit remains present in every family gathering, every football Sunday, and every moment spent together. Her life was a gift, her love was unwavering, and her memory will be treasured forever.
