
Obituary for Pamela Eggert Ballard
BALLARD, Pamela Eggert, of Valrico, FL, departed this physical world Saturday, Feb. 29, 2020, in her home after an 11-year battle with cancer. Pam was born Feb. 15, 1954 in Victoria, TX, to W. Keith and Edris “Edee” Eggert, but quickly moved and grew up in Concord, CA, with her younger sister, Sonja and brother, Tim. She graduated from the University of California, Davis with a B.S. in Child Development, and later attained an M.A. in Elementary Education from California State University. Teaching primarily at the elementary and pre-k levels, Pam taught in CA, for the Department of Defense Schools in Germany, and FL. From 2003-2016 she taught 4-year olds at the St. Andrews United Methodist Preschool in Brandon, FL. Married in 1985 to Boyd Ballard, Pam moved with his Air Force assignments, enjoying living and raising two daughters, Patricia and Carolyn, in Germany, Niceville FL, Boston MA, San Antonio TX, and, for the last 20 years, in Valrico FL. She is survived by her mother, sister, and brother, her husband and two daughters and their spouses, and a three-week-old grandson, Patrick. A Celebration of Life will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 21, 2020, at St. Andrews United Methodist Church, 3315 S. Bryan Rd, Brandon, FL 33511. In lieu of flowers, consider contributing to the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center.
