Brandon, Otis L., 86, of Riverview, passed away peacefully January 6, 2016. Otis was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and a descendent of the pioneer Brandon family. After serving in the U.S. Army, stationed in Japan, he spent 35 years working in the phosphate fertilizer industry. He was passionate about fishing, gardening, and wood-working. He is survived by his devoted wife of 65 years, Mary Brandon; daughter, Phyllis Brandon Thornton; son, Mike Brandon; grandchildren, Rob Williams, Tim Williams, and Bonnie Williams-Durrance, and great-granddaughters, Gianna and Jeslyn Durrance. A celebration of life service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 9th at Southern Funeral Care, 10510 Riverview Drive, with the family receiving friends one hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to LifePath Hospice, plant a tree, or go fishing!
