With deep love and profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Noemi Esperanza Gonzalez Lambert Campbell, age 53, who entered eternal rest on December 23, 2025, at St. Joseph’s Hospital South in Riverview, Florida.
Born on December 7, 1972, in Puerto Cortés, Honduras, Noemi lived a life that spanned communities and touched hearts across many places. Her life and legacy were woven through the Bronx, New York; Orlando, Florida; Saint Augustine, Florida; and Riverview, Florida — each place shaped by her presence and, in turn, shaping who she became. Wherever she lived, Noemi was known as a passionate, loving, and endlessly generous woman, whose warmth, energy, and giving spirit touched countless lives.
Noemi spent much of her professional life in real estate, where she dedicated herself to helping families through the home buying process. Like many, her path included both successes and challenges, but her passion for service and her belief in second chances defined her spirit.
A woman of deep faith, Noemi was a non denominational Christian who lived her beliefs through action. She was the founder of the nonprofit Win for Life, dedicated to supporting children, and she co led a family support group for the Florida Army National Guard’s Recruiting and Retention Company in the Tampa Bay Area. Her life was marked by service, compassion, and a genuine desire to uplift others.
Noemi had a deep love for traveling the world, cruises, attending spiritual and health retreats, and celebrating life in all its forms — birthdays, holidays, and everyday moments alike. She found joy in mentoring others, giving to those less fortunate, and creating spaces where people felt seen, loved, and supported.
She is preceded in death by her father, Santos Gonzalez, and her beloved granddaughter, Melody Thompson.
Noemi is lovingly survived by her husband, Shawn P. Campbell; her daughter, Nariah Fernandez; and her cherished granddaughter, Faith Rodriguez. She is also survived by her mother, Maria Lambert; her sisters, Eleanor Fox, Sylvia Gonzalez, and Marcelina Gonzalez; her brother, Anthony Gonzalez; and her stepdaughters, Shawntel Campbell and Lashawntis Campbell. She leaves behind a host of beloved nieces and nephews, along with extended family members and dear friends who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.
A woman of deep spiritual conviction, Noemi found strength and peace in her faith. One of her most cherished scriptures was:
“Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me.
Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me. You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies.
You honor me by anointing my head with oil.”
— Psalm 23:4–5 (NLT)
This gathering will provide family and friends in Florida the opportunity to pay their respects and celebrate Noemi’s life prior to her transport to New York, where her final funeral services will be held (details forthcoming).
