NICK A. HORTON, Jr.
HORTON, Nick A., Jr., of Valrico, passed away on Friday, February 27, 2015. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Betty, she was his Senior High School sweet heart; son, Sandy (Lynn) of GA; daughter, Lisa (Rick) of Texas; sister, Catherine; grandchildren, Nick, Nicholas, Carrie, and Timothy; and great-grandchild, Gaius; 1 uncle; and 1 aunt. Nick worked for FL. Steel for 43 years, and studied electrical engineering at Clemson, Business Admin. at USC and a Masters from Eckerd College. He was an avid golfer who played with his buddies the "GOOD GUYS", and also loved wood working, refinishing furniture and also built 2 of his homes. He loved his family and enjoyed all of his Grands. A celebration of life service will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, March 14, 2015 at First Baptist Church of Brandon with the family receiving friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the First Tee Program, thefirsttee.org.
