TODD, Neva Stanley, 101, of Brandon, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 19, 2011. She was born in Antioch, Florida June 23, 1909, and was a fourth generation Floridian. During WWII she became a "Rosie the Riveter" and welded on ships at McClosky Ship Building Co. in Tampa. After the war she worked for Florida Industrial Commission until she retired in 1974. She was predeceased by her father, C. J. Stanley, Sr.; mother, Berta Franklin Stanley Johnson; step-father, H.Q. Johnson; husband, Maurice Todd; son, Howard Todd, and grandson, Davin Olsen. She is survived by her son, Curtis (Mary Frances) Todd; daughter, Lucile Olsen; daughter-in-law, Mary Ellen Todd; grandchildren, Linda Todd (Joe Pardo), Brenda Todd (Enrique) Puertos, Vickie Drake, Erik (Cindy) Olsen, Sharon Olsen, Bill (Mariann) Drake; 8 great- grandchildren and 9 great- great- grandchildren.
Funeral Information
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, February 24, 2011, at East Chelsea Baptist Church, with the family receiving friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Antioch Cemetery, Thonotosassa, Fla.
