Obituary for Myrna May Younglove
Younglove, Myrna M., 92, of Brandon, FL, passed away peacefully at the Melech Hospice House on July 21, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mae Saunders Morton and Edly Morton, and her husband, Raymond Younglove. Myrna was born in Tampa, FL, and graduated from Hillsborough High School in 1947. She is survived by her two sons, Michael and Keith; two grandsons, Brent and Craig; and two great-grandchildren, Oliver and Lily. Myrna was a long time member at Holy Innocents' Episcopal Church of Valrico. She joined the church in 1977 and was active in a number of ministries there including Meals on Wheels, Hospitality Committee, Helping Hands, Episcopal Church Women, Alter Guild, and Cursillo Discovery. Myrna and Raymond made many life-long friends at the church. Myrna and Raymond loved to travel, they made many trips to Europe with groups of friends. They especially enjoyed the Alpine areas and ski resorts. As a couple, they took epic car trips all over the United States and on a trip to Alaska, they were lucky to get a special pass to Denali Park that allowed them to go places not normally open to the public. Myrna had a thing for decorating, in the house on 92, the kitchen was decorated in only one thing, chickens. There were red chickens, black chickens, and multi-colored chickens. Big ones and small ones. You might have thought Colonal Sanders lived there. When her children entered elementary school, Myrna was active in the PTA; one year she was the President of the PTA at Mango Elementary School. A memorial service will be held at Holy Innocents' Episcopal on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at 11 AM. Myrna will be solely missed by her family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family asks a donation to be made to the Melech Hospice House in Temple Terrace, FL.
