Obituary for Migdalia Delpin-Vazquez

Migdalia Delpin Vasquez, age 78, of Brandon, Florida, passed peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, intelligence, and joyful energy. She was born on December 12, 1947, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, where her vibrant spirit and curiosity about the world first began to shine.

Migdalia was a lifelong educator, dedicating 42 years to teaching not simply as a profession, but as her true calling. Her passion for education and helping others shaped the lives of so many . She believed knowledge opened doors, built bridges between cultures, and gave people confidence to grow.

Her love for languages and culture reflected her open heart and incredible ability to connect.

Those who knew Migdalia remember her as a fountain of life energetic, engaged, and eager to connect. She had a gift for conversation and a natural warmth that made others feel seen.

She challenged you, kept you thinking, and brought a spark of humor and intelligence into every room. Her curiosity about the world never dimmed, and her mind remained sharp, inquisitive, and alive until the very end

Above all, Migdalia’s greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted wife to Angel Vasquez, a loving mother to Carlos Rivera, and the proudest grandmother to Marissa Rivera, Mikalah Rivera, Zachary Rivera, and Rebekah Rivera.

She also cherished her grandchildren and her family was the center of her world, and she poured her love, guidance, and strength into each of them.

She was also a faithful church member, a loyal friend, and a steady source of encouragement to many.

Migdalia will be cremated, and her remains will be returned to Puerto Rico to rest in the family tomb, a final journey home to the island that shape her spirit.

She leaves behind a legacy of wisdom, warmth, cultural appreciation, and a love for learning that will continue through the many lives she touched.

She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever celebrated by all who knew her.
