CARY, Michael Ray, 64, of Brandon, crossed the river on Wednesday, February 17, 2016. Residing here most of his lifetime, Mr. C, as he was fondly known, retired after 30+ years as a Senior Sergeant for the Tampa Police Department, was Past Master of Brandon Masonic Lodge #114 and a current member of Tampa Lodge #240, a member of Crossroads Baptist Church, Lithia and is the recipient of heart transplant #760 from Tampa General Hospital in 2006. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Cary, Jr. and Harriet Cary and leaves behind his beloved bride, Marianne Cary, sister, Jackie (Floyd) Mallory; brother, Eric Nicholson; five children, Aubrey Cary, Allison (Joe) Cary, Justin (Megan) Cary, Blair (Beth) Plisko and Ginger Adkins and 9 grandchildren, Aiden, Donavin, Ashlyn, Evan, Hunter, Wyatt, Daxton, Adelaide and Landon. The entire family wishes to thank Cardiologist, Dr. Peter Berman, and Transplant Coordinator, Diane Jimenez, for their professional and loving care throughout Michael's heart transplant journey.
Funeral Information
A celebration of Mike's Life will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 27, 2016, at Southside Baptist Church, 415 W. Lumsden Road, Brandon, with Pastor Greg Williams officiating and Masonic Services by Tampa Lodge #240 F.A.M. Honor Guard by Tampa Police Department.
